Großes Barock-Standkruzifix Silber. Auf drei Füßen dreipassige, geschweifte Basis, darüber Kreuz mit vollplastisch gearbeitetem Corpus Christi im Dreinageltypus mit leicht diagonal nach oben geführten Armen, bekleidet mit einem an der linken Hüfte geknotetem Lendentuch. Oberhalb des Gekreuzigten Schrifttafel "INRI" mit Rocaillenrelief, unterhalb Totenschädel mit gekreuzten Knochen. Rest.; Gest., Beschauzeichen, Meister Antonius Leser (wird Meister um 1664). Gew. ca. 1390 g. Ges.-H. 54 cm.
Der Totenschädel am Fuße des Kreuzes verweist auf den Tod Christi und dient zugleich als Vanitas-Symbol. Er erinnert an die Vergänglichkeit des Menschen und betont - im Zusammenspiel mit dem gesenkten Blick des Gekreuzigten- die menschliche Seite Christi.
