Der Gibeon, 1836 in Südafrika gefunden, ist ein zu über 90 % aus Eisen bestehender Meteorit aus dem Asteroidengürtel. Höchstwahrscheinlich ist er vor 13.000 bis 30.000 Jahren auf die Erde gefallen.

Large, asymmetrical fragment of the iron meteorite Gibeon with a beautiful structure. Sharp-edged in places. Includes a coloured photocopy of a certificate of authenticity. Dimensions approx. 22 x 12 cm, weight 6.3 kg.
Discovered in South Africa in 1836, Gibeon is a 90 % iron meteorite from the asteroid belt. In all likelihood, it fell to Earth between 13,000 and 30,000 years ago.
