Schmiedeeisen. Rechteckiger Korpus mit beidseitig aufgelegten Verstärkungsplatten. Wuchtige quadratische Bolzenhalterungen auf gestufter Basis. Gefederter Verschlussmechanismus, aufwendiger eiserner Hohldornschlüssel mit dreipassig gearbeitetem Hohldorn. Voll funktionsfähig. Die Halteplatte im Bereich des Sperrbolzens seitlich eingerissen. Maße 15,5 x 12,5 x 6,5 cm, Gewicht 2.754 g. Ein ähnliches Schloss befindet sich in der Kunst- und Wunderkammer Rudolfs II. auf Schloss Ambrass.

Wrought iron. Rectangular lock body with reinforcement plates welded on both sides. Massive, square bolt mounts on a tiered base. Spring-loaded locking mechanism. Elaborate iron hollow shank key with trefoil hollow shank. Fully functional. The support plate cracked at the side around the locking bolt. Dimensions 15.5 x 12.5 x 6.5 cm, weight 2,754 g. A similar padlock is in the Kunstkammer and cabinet of curiosities owned by Rudolf II in Ambras Castle.
