Ruyi bedeutet übersetzt "wie gewünscht". Dieses Stück folgt dem typischen Aufbau eines Ruyi: wolkenförmiger Kopf und ein langer S-förmiger Henkel. Chinesische Zeichen "Ji Xiang Ru Yi" auf dem Kopf und "Shou" auf den Henkel gemalt. Geklebt. Gebrauchsspuren. Länge 50,5 cm, Weite 13 cm.

A large Chinese jade "ruyi" scepter, 20th century
Ruyi means "as you wish" in Chinese. A typical ruyi is composed of two parts: a head in the shape of cloud and the handle in the shape of a flat "S", usually favored by the imperial Chinese officials as a symbol of good luck. This piece is massive in size and finely worked. Four characters "Ji Xiang Ru Yi" painted on the head and the character "Shou" in central handle. Glued. Tiny losses. Length 50.5 cm, width 13 cm.
