Silber. Großes, im Querschnitt ovales, passig geschweiftes Tablett. Im Spiegel punzierter Blütendekor. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Fahne mit profiliertem Rand mit Muscheldekor. Zwei angeschraubte rocaillenförmige Handhaben. Im Spiegel und Handhaben punziert mit Silberstandard und verschlagener Tughra-Marke (wohl von Mahmud II., 1808 - 1839). Rückseite mit Tremolierstrich. Maße 61,5 x 39,5 cm, Gewicht 1966 g.
A large Ottoman silver tray, early 19th century
Silver. Large, oval, foil-curved tray. In the centre punched flower décor. Openwork border with profiled rim decorated with shells. Two screw-mounted handles in the shape of rocailles. The centre and handles punched with standard silver marks and misstruck tughra mark (probably Mahmud II, 1808 - 1839), on the reverse assayer’s mark. Dimensions 61.5 x 39.5 cm, weight 1966 g.
