A selection of writings relating to America, so far published in Novus orbis regionum ac insularum, a collection edited by Simon Graynaeus from materials collected by Johann Huttich. It starts with a chapter dedicated to Cristopher Columbus, followed by another on the navigations of Amerigo Vespucci. In the second part is the addition dedicated to the region of "Ophyra" by Casparis Varrerii Lusitani which contains Barreiro's treatise on the geographical position of the country of Ofir: not in America, but in Asia.

2 parts in one volume, 8vo (156 x 95mm). Woodcut device on titles, initials and woodcut headpieces (a little browned, occasional staining). 19th-century calf, gilt title on spine and blue edges (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: Gymnasium zu Greifewald? (part of a German stamp on title) - a few early annotations.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
