GUARESCHI Giovannino (1908-1968) - "Molotof, colombo della Pax Sovietica". ca. 1945-48. Vivid caricature, most likely a draft for the "Candido" magazine, which shows the USSR Foreign Minister Vjaceslav Molotov (1890-1986) as a disturbing pigeon holding a gallows in its beak and threatening continental Europe. The drawing refers to the years '45 -'48 when the East block and the countries of the West were dividing Europe and Guareschi led his personal battle against the communist influence through the magazine of Candido of which he was editor. (220 x 330mm). Ink drawing, signed on the top right, pencil caption on the right margin (light staining to left margin), within a modern frame. Provenance: Pelloncini (in pencil in the left margin).

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
