Nr. 121, blanker Lauf. Achtschüssig. Beschuss Adler/"N". Schlitten in Ganzstahl, Griffstück aus Zink mit Stahleinlagen an den neuralgischen Stellen. Platte für Sicherungshebelmechanik in das Griffstück eingepasst. Links am Verschluss gemarkt "G/Gustloff-Werke / Waffenwerk Suhl", rechts an der Laufwurzel "Kal. 7,65 mm". Originale Brünierung mit Tragespuren an den Kanten, Griffstück naturmatt. Fehlerlose Nussholzgriffschalen mit feiner Fischhaut, links mit Logo. Magazin. Die Gustloff-Pistole wurde 1939 auf Betreiben des Gauleiters von Thüringen, Fritz Sauckel, entwickelt. Sauckel war Gründer und Stiftungsführer der Gustloff-Werke, ehemals Simson-Werk, Suhl. Die Waffe vereint bewährte technische Elemente der Walther PP und der Sauer & Sohn Mod. 38. Sie sollte als Dienstpistole bei der NSDAP und SS eingeführt werden, kam aber über das Versuchsstadium nicht hinaus. Die wenigen bekannten Realstücke sind in unterschiedlicher technischer Ausführung und teilweise aus unterschiedlichen Materialien gefertigt.

SN. 121, bright bore. Eight shots. German proofs Eagle/"N". The slide made of steel, the frame cast zinc with steel inlays in crucial areas. The receiver with an insert for the safety lever. The left-hand side of the slide marked "G / Gustloff-Werke / Waffenwerk Suhl", the breech end of the barrel "Kal. 7,65 mm". Original finish with wear on high edges, the receiver dull (original). Impeccable walnut grips with fine checkering, the left one with logo. Magazine.
Driven bei Thuringa's Nazi Gauleiter Fritz Sauckel, who was also "founder" and manager of the Gustloff factory (formerly Simson Works) in Suhl, this pistol was developed in 1939, combining proven elements of the Walther PP and the Sauer & Sohn Mod. 38. It was meant to become the new service weapon of Nazi party officials and the SS, but never made it beyond the trial stage. Only a few specimens are known to exist, in quite a number of patterns, made of varying materials.
