Der Hammerflügel wurde von Johann Georg Gröber (1775-1849) in Innsbruck gebaut. Gröber absolvierte seine Lehre bei Ignaz Kober in Wien, arbeitete bei der renommierten Klavierbauerdynastie Streicher und war zeitweise der Klavierstimmer von Ludwig van Beethoven. Optisch besticht das Instrument durch seine edle Ausführung in Nussbaum und umlaufende Verzierungen in feiner Schwarzlotmalerei. Der Hammerflügel besitzt eine Wiener Mechanik sowie eine Stiefeldämpfung. Die Fängerleiste ist derzeit nicht vorhanden. Die Klaviatur (FF-f4) hat ein Stichmaß von 47,7cm. Die Hämmerchen sind beledert. Der Flügel besitzt einen durchgehenden Steg und ist von FF-d1 zweichörig und von d#1-f4 dreichörig besaitet.
Auf dem Stimmstock sind die Saitenstärken eingeschlagen.

FORTEPIANO BY JOHANN GEORG GROEBER, INNSBRUCK CIRCA 1815
The fortepiano was built by Johann Georg Gröber (1775-1849) in Innsbruck. Gröber completed his apprenticeship with Ignaz Kober in Vienna, worked for the Streichers and was for a time the piano tuner for Ludwig van Beethoven. Visually, the instrument captivates with its noble walnut finish and circumferential ornamentation in fine black plumb painting. The fortepiano has a Viennese action and a Viennese damping system. There are no checks present at the moment. The keyboard (FF-f4) has a 3-octave-span of 47.7cm. The hammers are covered with leather. The piano has a continuous bridge and is double strung within FF-d1 and triple strung within d#1-f4.
The string gauges are stamped on the wrestplank.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
