Silver cigar box, wood lined, exposed wood bottom and hinged lid engraved with the Academy of German Law symbol. Inside lid engraved dedication "Friedrich Minoux", (tr.) "In recognistion of successful work in the world of the Academy's world of German law - Heil Hitler!", "26.vi. 1938", with facsimile signature of Hans Frank. Bottom underside edge silver stamped with crescent moon, crown, "830", manufacturer and "490". Ca. 22 x 14 x 4 cm. During the period of National Socialism, the Academy of German Law was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Hans Frank. It was the scientific institution under the supervision of the Reich Justice and Reich Ministry of the Interior. Friedrich Minoux (21 March 1877 - 16 October 1945) was a German industrialist, financier, member of the Academy of German Law and who is best known for being one of the owners of the Wannsee House, where the namesake conference that would decide the fate of millions was held in early 1942. Hans Michael Frank (23 May 1900 - 16 October 1946) was a German war criminal and lawyer who worked for the NSDAP during the 1920s and 1930s, and later became Adolf Hitler's personal lawyer.
