Weiblicher Akt
Bronze, braun patiniert. Künstler-Stempel "HF FREILINGER KREMS". Auf einer rechteckigen Plinthe stehende junge Frau mit erhobenem Kopf und geschlossenen Augen, die Füße weit auseinander gestellt und die Hände an die Oberschenkel gelegt. Die Statuette steht mit ihren stilisierten, weich modellierten Formen in der Tradition der Klassischen Moderne. Freilinger lernte nach 1945 Bildhauerei bei Josef Furthner, in Salzburg besuchte er die 1953 "Schule des Sehens" an der Salzburger Sommerakademie, die von Oskar Kokoschka und Giacomo Manzù geleitet wurde. Manzù ermutigte ihn zum Studium an der Wiener Akademie bei Hans Andre, wo er 1959 den Meisterschulpreis erhielt und 1960 abschloss. 1964 wurde Freilinger in Krems ansässig, 1973-1979 unterhielt er zusätzlich ein Atelier in Bologna. 1966-1970 gewann er Auszeichnungen in Brüssel, Paris und Italien; 1974 wurde ihm der Professorentitel verliehen. H. 69,5 cm.
