marked ”Light of London”, 1800, blackened, seven faceted body, gold painting with Renaissance motifs, the bridge with the remains of modeled acanthus leaves, rolls, maintenance deficiencies, in need of restoration, approx length 92 cm. Info: Edward Light was a ”Professor of Music” and ”Lyrist to the Princess of Wales”. He became loud as the inventor of the Harp (”the Dital-harps”) are known. Such are in the Crosby-Brown Collection (Metropolitan. Museum of Art in New York), no. 1076, in W. Heyers Music history Museum in Cologne, no. 404, 602, and in the case of C. Claudius, in Copenhagen. The Cologne collection also has a harp guitar from him (no. 1010).
