Fayence. Gold-Plated Silver Mount. Spherical body in a retracted, round base, high neck with contrast trim and gekniffenem spout. Decor in bright muffle colors: Frontal cross oval medallion with the baptism of Christ in the Jordan (Mt 3, 16), surrounded by acanthus scrolls and flowers, a lion mask and a cherubs head. Restoration., minimally rubbed, hairline cracks. H. 30 cm. "The two-figure group of the Central image, Similar to a reversed copy of Matthäus Merian d. (1593 - 1651): presentation of baptism in his episode of the Bible illustrations of 1630". Provenance: to Trockau collection of Baron Large. - Collection Of Wilhelm Schröder, Hamburg.
