Spannungsreiche, abstrakte Komposition aus einem Geflecht von vertikalen und horizontalen, unterschiedlich breiten, kraftvollen Strichen in Schwarz und Weiß auf schwarzem Untergrund. Charakteristische Arbeit aus den 1950er Jahren, die Siepmanns intensive Auseinandersetzung mit der Abstraktion verdeutlicht. Ist sein Werk in den 1930/40er Jahren noch von gegenständlichen Themen - darunter Stillleben und Landschaften - geprägt, die aber bereits einem streng kompositorischen Aufbau folgen, findet nach dem Krieg eine sukzessive Hinwendung zur Abstraktion statt. Die anfänglich eher zögerliche Umsetzung konstruktivistischer Formen gipfelt schließlich in einer rigorosen Entscheidung für die reine ungegenständliche Konstruktion. Siepmann, der 1925-1927 an der Folkwangschule in Essen studierte, zählt daher zur zweiten Generation des Konstruktivismus in Deutschland. 1948 war er Mitbegründer der Künstlerruppe "junger westen" in Recklinghausen und erhielt zahlreiche Preise und Ehrungen, wie den Ruhrpreis für Kunst und Wissenschaft der Stadt Mühlheim an der Ruhr (1962) oder den Karl Ernst Osthaus-Preis der Stadt Hagen (1979). Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
