Öl/Holz. 33,5 x 48 cm. R. u. sign. H. Zügel. - Provenienz: Privatsammlung Franken - Deutscher Tiermaler, einer der bedeutenden Vertreter des Impressionismus in Deutschland. Z. studierte an der Kunstschule Stuttgart als Schüler von B. von Neher und H. von Rustige. 1892 gehört er zu den Gründungsmitgliedern der Sezession in München, 1889 war er an der dortigen Akademie Professor geworden. Er erhielt eine große Anzahl von Auszeichnungen auf internationalen Ausstellungen. 1907 wurde er geadelt. Von der akademischen Tradition ausgehend fand Z. in den 1890er Jahren zum Impressionismus, bei dem die Einzelheiten zugunsten des Gesamteindrucks zurücktraten. Er war auch ein bedeutender akademischer Lehrer, zu seinen Schülern gehörten u.a. Chr. Schad und O. Dill. Mus.: Berlin (Nat.-Gal.), München, Dresden, Wien, Rom, Florenz, Budapest, New York u.a. Lit.: Thieme-Becker.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
