This lithograph was printed by Orell Fössli, Zörich, as a poster for the Helen Dahm-exhibition in 1964, the Kunstverein Frauenfeld.
Helen Dahm: A Painter. Born on 21.5.1878 in Egelshofen, died on 24.5.1968 in Mdnnedorf. After the bankruptcy of the vdterlichen textile company move 1897 to Zörich. In 1906, a break with the family and moving to monks; teaching at the Academy of art for women with Robert Engels (1866-1926) and Julius Exter (1863-1939), as well as at the art school for graphic techniques at Moritz Heymann (1870-1937). Encounter with the works of the könstler group The blue rider. 1913 Röckkehr to Zörich in the company of the Berlin-based art historian and painter Else Strantz; 1919 common Öbersiedlung to Oetwil am see, concentration on the painting. After the separation of Else Strantz (1932) existential crisis. 1938 Auflvsung of the budget and break-in with a group of women in the Ashram of Shri Meher Baba (1894-1969) in Meherabad, India. Disease and 1939 Röckkehr to Oetwil. 1953 retrospective at the helmet house Zörich and awaited breakthrough; in 1954, Helen Dahm is the first woman to receive the prize for visual arts of the city of Zörich.
