Preference issue. Edition Rosenbach, 1971. Six color etchings, and three Drypoints, 31 x 42.5 cm, respectively, in the bottom right of Bargheer, on the left of the bottom number I/XXV and signed in pencil. Workbook. Two leaves with water spots.

Painter, draftsman & graphic artist, one of the leading heads of the German avant-garde. B. at the request of his father's first teacher, proposed in 1924, but a career in the arts. From 1927 he taught at the Hamburg art school Gerda Koppel, at the same time, he got to know Gretchen well want, with the help of him a life-long friendship. In the following year, B. of Hamburg, joined the secession. Since 1935 he lived alternately in Ischia in Hamburg-Blankenese, in the 60s, he also took trips to Tunisia, Morocco & Egypt. After the war, he had teaching assignments in Hamburg and Berlin. B. exhibited frequently, including at the Documenta I & II His-surface-curved compositions are initially influenced by E. Munch, later he developed to image microstructures, in which the landscape elements between Figuration & abstraction oscillate.
