Fishermen's wives
With solid contouring strokes and flat Watercolour crafted scene, on the beach of Leba. Pechstein was one of the major protagonists of expressionism in Germany, since he in 1906, to the artist group "Brücke" was met. In 1921, he was held in the Pomeranian fishing village of Leba, a Paradise that has been his second homeland. During a regular summer stays enjoyed Pechstein "the unadulterated life in pristine nature," dealt with the landscape and the lives of the fishermen. Watercolor & ink on pen/paper. R. u. monograph.; L. and dated 1924. 23.8 cm x 34.5 cm. Frame.
