Badende Frauen im Mondschein
Mit breitem, weich-pastosem Duktus gemaltes Werk des Impressionisten. Pleuer studierte an der Stuttgarter Kunstakademie (1881-1883) und danach an der Müchner Akademie, bevor er 1886 nach Stuttgart zurückkehrte. Außer Darstellungen der Künstlerbohème schuf er Nachtbilder mit weiblichen Akten im Mondschein, Interieurs und Landschaften, seit circa 1898 fand er in der Eisenbahn ein weiteres Hauptthema - fasziniert von der technischen Entwicklung der Industrialisierung und dem Rausch der Geschwindigkeit. Seine Werke wurden seit 1895 vielfach ausgestellt und in den wichtigen deutschen Kunstzeitschriften und sogar in der englischen "Studio" (1898) besprochen. Neben Otto Reiniger, Christian Landenberger und Heinrich von Zügel gehörte Pleuer zu den wichtigsten Vertretern des Impressionismus in Süddeutschland. Öl/Lwd.; L. u. sign. u. dat. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
