Bronze, patiniert. Lebensgroße Büste des bekannten Generals mit Kinnbart und wildem Haupthaar, der Oberkörper unbekleidet. Rechts unten signiert "Hp. Le Roy". Unterseite mit Montagelochung zur Befestigung auf einem Sockel. Höhe 50 cm.
General Belisarius (um 500 - 565): oströmischer General und Feldherr unter Kaiser Justitian.
Hippolyte Le Roy: belgischer Bildhauer, tätig in Gand in Belgien, gewann 1900 auf der Exposition Universelle in Paris die Silbermedaille für bildende Kunst.

Patinated bronze. A life-sized bust of the famous general with his chin beard and tousled hair, his torso unclothed. Signed "Hp. Le Roy" at the bottom right. A mounting hole on the underside to attach it to a pedestal. Height 50 cm.
General Belisarius (circa 500 - 565) was a Byzantine general and commander under Justinian I.
Hippolyte Le Roy was a Belgian sculptor, working in Ghent in Belgium. In 1900, he won the silver medal for the fine arts at the Exposition Universelle in Paris.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
