Eigentumsstück. Kräftige, beidseitig gekehlte Rückenklinge, vernickelt, zweischneidige Mittelspitze, an der Wurzel die Herstellermarke "W.R. Kirschbaum Solingen", beidseitig reiche jagdliche Zierätzungen (Bläuung des Grundes berieben) mit zwei Jagdtrophäen, drei Hirschen, Jagdhund und Pflanzenranken. Massives Messinggefäß mit fein reliefiertem Adlerkopfknauf. Vernähte schwarze Lederscheide (partiell berieben, kleine Nachschwärzungen) mit vergoldeten Buntmetallbeschlägen. Anhängend eine grünsilberne Troddel für Oberjäger. Trage- und Altersspuren. Länge 61 cm. Sehr selten und mit wunderschön erhaltener Feuervergoldung.

A privately purchased item. Sturdy, single-edged, nickel-plated blade with fullers on both sides and a double-edged central point. The manufacturer's mark "W.R. Kirschbaum Solingen" stamped at the root. Lavish ornamental hunting motifs etched on both sides (the bluing of the background abraded) with two hunting trophies, three stags, a hound and tendrils. Solid brass hilt with an eagle head pommel in fine relief. Stitched, black leather scabbard (partially abraded, small areas have been re-blackened) with gilt, non-ferrous metal fittings. A green and silver tassel for Oberjaeger is attached. Signs of age and wear. Length 61 cm. Extremely rare find, the fire gilding in beautiful condition.
