FIRST EDITION, folio (350 x 240mm.), engraved frontispiece by Bouisson, engraved headpiece and initial, 99 engraved plates (of 100), plate 35 with a contemporary manuscript overlay caption, contemporary calf, preliminary leaf repaired obscuring a small portion of text, binding slightly worn

Since Pierre-Jospeh Garidel was a medical doctor and professor of anatomy, this work emphasises plants which had a medicinal use. This is a reissue of the 1715 edition.
