Einteilig geschlagene Glocke mit kräftigem Mittelgrat. Am Rand umlaufende Lochungen zur Befestigung der Helmbrünne. Einteilig gearbeitetes kräftiges Naseneisen. Kalotte mit mehreren kleinen Durchrostungen, größere Fehlstelle am Scheitel, kleiner Defekt am Rand über dem linken Ohr. Höhe 16,5 cm, Gewicht 589 g.
Seltener, im Original kaum auf dem Markt zu findender Helmtypus aus der Zeit des ersten Kreuzzuges.
Ein Nasalhelm mit ähnlich breitem Naseneisen befindet sich in der Sammlung des Kunsthistorischen Museums in Wien (WSA41).

The skull forged in one piece with a pronounced medial ridge. A continuous row of perforations along the edge to attach the aventail. The sturdy nasal bar forged in one piece. The skull with several small corrosion perforations, a larger flaw at the crown, a minor imperfection at the edge above the left ear. Height 16.5 cm, weight 589 g.
Rare helmet type dating from the era of the first crusade. Originals such as this are seldom available on the market. A nasal helmet with a similar, broad nasal bar can be found in the collection at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (WSA41).
