Swan fountain
White marble. Square, divided profiled shaft, by means of all-round, smooth ornament of a frieze with shell and scroll relief. About fountain bowl fluted ends with a circular, raised clover leaf and blossom tendrils. In the middle, on an elevated Stand, vorwölbender, with a stylized Plant ornament ornate Base for a Swan group in the pairing. Holger Wederkinch studied 1905-08 at the Copenhagen Academy. His works have been exhibited with great success in Munich, Berlin and Paris, at the Paris Salon in 1929 he received a gold medal. "Hungry polar bear" is adorned in 1937 the "Long line" in Copenhagen; 1954-56 in the meanwhile, as a Professor in the Copenhagen Academy, appointed artists worked on the group "la France renaiss ante", which was set up in 1958, at the bridge Pont de Bir-Hakeim, close to the Eifel tower.
