Dünn gearbeitete Platte aus Lindenholz mit flachem Spiegel und breiter, leicht gewölbter Fahne. Schauseitig polychrome Fassung auf grünem Grund. Im Spiegel Darstellung eines älteren Paares mit zahlreichen emblematischen Bezügen zu Erotik und Fruchtbarkeit (Hündchen, erhobenes Glas, Störche etc.) Auf dem Rand beidseitig ungedeutete Familienwappen zwischen illusionistisch gemaltem Obst. Rückseitig gekerbte alte Hausmarke. Restaurierter Sprung, Fassung gereinigt und restauriert. Durchmesser 36,5 cm.
Abgebildet in: De Collectie Aad Penders, Rondgedraaid & beschilderd, S. 19 und 61. Vgl. auch eine dort abgebildete Bildscheibe mit nahezu identischem Motiv aus der Sammlung der Staatlichen Museen in Berlin (Abb. S. 18). Ein Exemplar des Buches liegt bei.
A South Dutch wooden charger (Teljor) with coloured embellishment as a wedding gift, mid-16th century
Made of a thin piece of lime wood with a flat centre and a broad, slightly domed border. The front with polychrome paint on a green background. At the centre, a depiction of an older couple with scores of emblematic references to eroticism and fertility (small dog, raised glass, storks etc.). The border on both sides bearing an unidentified family crest between trompe l'oeil fruit. An old private notched mark on the back. A restored crack, the paintwork cleaned and restored. Diameter 36.5 cm.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
