HIP CLOTH (HI'I WORAPI) WITH FLORAL MOTIFS FOR A GENTLEMAN - Indonesia, Savu, probably mid 20th c. - Cotton, multicolored warp Ikat. Sewn together lengthwise from two panels of unequal width. Warp fringes only partially twisted. In the stripes on dark background so-called Boda motifs. The stripes in between dark blue. In this textile the red color of Morinda is clearly visible. The Ikat patterns quite clear, the colors fresh, the textile has a firm feel and could be unused. - From a Swiss private collection, acquired in the 1980s and 1990s - Cf. Baumwolle, mehrfarbiger Kettikat. Aus zwei ungleich breiten Bahnen längs zusammengenäht. Kettfransen nur zum Teil gezwirnt. In den Streifen auf dunklem Fond sog. Boda-Motive. Die Streifen dazwischen dunkelblau. Bei diesem Textil ist die rote Farbe von Morinda deutlich sichtbar. Die Ikat-Muster ziemlich klar, die Farben frisch, das Textil hat einen festen Griff und könnte ungebraucht sein.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
