Précieux exemplaire d’auteur, sur Japon ancien, avec l’eau-forte originale de Marcoussis.
La Belle en dormant, recueil de 38 poèmes, est dédié par Hugnet à son amie Marcelle Ferry, dite Lila, elle-même poète. L'eau-forte de Marcoussis, l’un de ses chefs-d’œuvre gravés, est en troisième état dans ce livre. Au premier et deuxième état, le personnage féminin était un hermaphrodite, et un portrait de Hugnet figurait en marge du cuivre plus grand . Cette gravure semble avoir été initialement destinée à Enfances -mais l’ouvrage ne parut qu’en 1934, avec des gravures de Miró.

In-8 (192 x 145 mm), broché, non rogné, sous couverture rempliée. Édition originale. Exemplaire sur Japon ancien, « pour Georges Hugnet ». La justification annonce 10 exemplaires sur ce papier. En frontispice, 1 eau-forte originale de Louis Marcoussis, réservée aux exemplaires de tête sur Japon. Rousseurs minimes au faux-titre.

Pristine author’s copy, printed for Georges Hugnet, one of the 10 on Ancient Japan and the only ones containing the original etching by Marcoussis, used as the book’s frontispiece.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
