Jahrhunderts. Sie studierte an der Kunstakademie in Tiflis. 1995 wurde sie mit dem Shota Rustaveli Preis ausgezeichnet, dem höchsten Kunstpreis Georgiens. Ihre ausnahmslos gegenständlichen Werke sind durch intensiv leuchtende Farben charakterisiert, die sie in einem dynamisch-breitem Pinselduktus vor schwarze Hintergründe setzt. Porträts und kraftvoll farbige Landschaften bilden motivisch ihren künstlerischen Schwerpunkt während sich stilistisch eine entfernte Verwandtschaft mit der Kunst von Alexej von Jawlensky oder Marianne von Werefkin sowie mit den Werken von El Greco, Paul Cézanne und Henri Matisse feststellen lässt.
