A Russian icon with Christ Pantocrator enthroned and ten saints in a splendid silver oklad, 1st half of the 19th century
Christ Pantocrator with Saint Spyridon of Trimythous, the Apostles Peter and Paul, St. Nicholas and others. Tempera on wood, a beautiful silver, partially gilt oklad (finely hammered and chased) with the master's mark "A.Ja"/"I.T", the St. Petersburg mark of fineness for 84 zolotniki and illegible inspector's mark with the year "18..". Good condition. Two sponki inserted into the back and a handwritten Cyrillic inscription with the date "1824". Dimensions 53.5 x 49 cm. Fine quality.
