Ilse Häfner-Mode wuchs in Berlin auf, wo sie Mitte der 1920er Jahre an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Charlottenburg studierte. Der jüdischen Künstlerin, welche 1927 ihre erste Ausstellung gab, wurde 1933 durch die Nationalsozialisten das Ausstellungsverbot erteilt und der Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen schloss sie aus seinen Reihen aus. 1942 zog sie in das ländliche Leopoldshöhe bei Detmold, wo sie von Dorfbewohnern denunziert, von der Gestapo verhaftet und in das Frauenlager Elben bei Kassel gebracht wurde. Auch im Lager arbeitete Häfner-Mode, soweit möglich, künstlerisch mit Tinte und Bleistift. Nachdem das Lager 1945 befreit wurde, lebte Häfner-Mode zunächst einige Zeit in der Schweiz und kehrte dann nach Deutschland zurück. Dort lebte sie zunächst wieder in Leopoldshöhe, zog aber 1955 nach Düsseldorf, wo sie wieder als Künstlerin arbeitete und mehrfach ihre Bilder ausstellte, so z.B. im Stadtgeschichtlichen Museum und in der Kunsthalle. Kunsthistorisch sind Häfner-Modes Werke der Verschollenen Generation und dem Expressiven Realismus zuzurechnen.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
