'Imploded column', Edelstahl, Maße 30 x 15 x 15 cm cm, monogrammiert, 2008 datiert; Ewerdt Hilgemann wurde besonders durch seine außergewöhnlichen 'Implosionen' bekannt. Die in den 1960er und 1970er Jahren entstandenen Arbeiten sind geprägt durch seriell-minimalistische Installationen. 1981 veränderte sich Hilgemanns Arbeitsweise und Werk. Er zerschnitt z. B. Granitfindlinge oder Marmorkugeln in scharfkantige Segmente, so dass perfekte Würfel zurückblieben. In ähnlichen Kunstaktionen ließ er 1983 etwa eine Kugel aus Carrara-Marmor mit einem Meter Durchmesser gezielt explodieren oder stieß einen geschweißten Stahlkubus vom Dach eines Hochhauses. Die Beschaffenheit der Skulpturen, zu denen diese Art geplant durchgeführter Zerstörungen führt, hängt zwar stark vom Zufall ab, lässt sich aber in gewisser Weise auch steuern. Dies trifft, nach Aussage des Künstlers, ebenso auf die sogenannten \Implosionen\" zu, zu denen Hilgemann 1984 fand. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
