Snuffbox with ten miniatures of the family of King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies
Tortoiseshell. Yellow gold 585/000, assayed. Approx. 308 rose-cut diamonds. Watercolour and opaque paints on ivory. Box: diameter 9.3 cm (height 2.4 cm). Miniatures: image size 2.2 x 1.9 cm (the royal couple), image size 1.8 x 1.3 (the children). Totalling: 144 g cm. Minor scratches to tortoiseshell.

Dabei: Vier Miniaturen mit Darstellungen von Königin Maria Karolina und Prinzessin Maria Amalia (Marie-Amélie) (3 x). Aquarell und Deckfarben. BA 1,8 x 1,4 cm (im Hochoval). Rahmen GG 333.

Portrait miniatures of the kings family are embedded in the lid: King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies (1751-1825). - Queen Maria Karolina, Archduchess of Austria (1752-1814). - Portraits of eight of their children, including the later King Franz I of Sicily and Leopold, Prince of Salerno.
