"Kapitolinischer Antinous"
Bronze, dunkel patiniert. Serpentinsäule des 19. Jhs.; Fein und subtil ausgeführte Statuette als "Grand Tour"-Objekt nach der berühmten antiken, römischen Marmorskulptur. Der "Kapitolinische Antinous", die um 130-138 n. Chr. entstandene Aktskulptur eines Jünglings, wurde in der Hadriansvilla in Tivoli gefunden und von Alessandro Kardinal Albani gekauft. 1733 erwarb sie Papst Clemens XII., seitdem bildet sie den Kern der Kapitolinischen Museen in Rom. Im 18. Jh. galt sie als eine der schönsten römischen Kopien einer griechischen Statue weltweit. Aufgrund der Pose mit nach unten gerichtetem Blick, des Gesichts und Körperbaus glaubte man damals, sie stelle Hadrians Geliebten Antinous dar. Seit dem 18. Jh. wurde der "Kapitolinische Antinous" vielfach kopiert und auch in Bronze für wohlhabende Sammler und Grand-Tour-Reisende ausgeführt. Bronze-H. 61,5 cm; Ges.-H. 176,5 cm.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
