Große Skulptur der Artemis genannt als die "Diana von Versailles"
Weißer Carrara-Marmor. Vollplastisch gearbeitete, repräsentative Skulptur nach der berühmten antiken Statue im Louvre. Auf einer rechteckigen Plinthe schreitende Diana als schlanke, athletische Jägerin, ihren rechten Arm zum Köcher emporhaltend. Mit ihrer Linken und einem Stück ihres Bogens hält sie den springenden Hirschbock an ihrer Seite. Bei dem antiken Original, das seit 1556 in französischem Königsbesitz war, handelt es sich um eine römische Kopie (1. Hälfte 2. Jahrhundert n. Chr.) einer verlorenen griechischen Bronzestatue aus der Zeit um 340-320 v. Chr.; Quaderförmiger Postamentsockel mit allseitig gerahmten Flächen, vorkragender Deckplatte und korrespondierender Fußzone. Ein Hirschfuß ger. beschädigt; H. 162 cm. Sockel-H. 41 cm. Ges.-H. 202 cm.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
