(Active in the 17th century. Century), equestrian statuette of Marcus Aurelius bronze with a dark Patina. Dark green, black and bright veined marble base, later. Fully plastic, scaled-down representation according to the famous antique equestrian monument. Since this 1537/38 was placed by Michelangelo on the redesigned Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome (today in the yard of the conservative gates of the Palace of the Capitoline museums), inspired to the reductions of numerous sculptors, who also coveted Grand Tour object. The execution of the casting of this Bronze, the highest quality, particularly in the horse, suggests an origin in the 17th century. Century close; H. 37,2 cm.
