According to the brochure, the lead time for each clock was 18 months. The case was designed by Professor Ernst Fuchs and completed by the world-famous bronze caster Venturi. The clock has remained virtually untouched since the 1980s and has never been polished either. This clock was originally intended to be produced in an edition of 2,500 pieces. In reality, it was probably only a fraction of that. All examples that have been brought back onto the market to date have lower numbers. Today, it is assumed that only around 150 pieces were produced in 18-carat gold.
