Um 1950-1960 entstandene Arbeit Doucets, der zur Künstlergruppe "CoBrA" gehörte und dessen Oeuvre vom Abstrakten Expressionismus geprägt ist. Wie dieses Gemälde sind Doucets Kompositionen meist durch gerundete, abstrakte Formen gekennzeichnet, oft in stark pastos aufgetragenen, geschichteten, matten Farbflächen mit dunklen Konturen. Der Dichter und Maler Max Jacob ermutigte den jungen Doucet 1941 sich der Kunst zu widmen. Bereits 1943/44 stellte Doucet im "Salon d'Automne" in Paris aus, 1946/47 im "Salon des Surindépendants". 1947 lernte Doucet in Budapest den niederländischen Maler Corneille kennen, durch den er die "Experimentele Groep" kennenlernte und 1948 das Titelblatt für das zweite Heft für deren Zeitschrift "Reflex" gestaltete. Im gleichen Jahr trat er der Avantgarde-Künstlergruppe "CoBrA"-Gruppe bei, zu der außer Corneille u. a. Asger Jorn, Constant, Karel Appel, Pierre Alechinsky und Karl Otto Götz gehörten. Doucets Arbeiten wurden auf beiden großen "CoBrA"-Ausstellungen (1949 in Amsterdam und 1951 in Liege/Lüttich) gezeigt. Seit 1960 hatte Doucet eine Reihe von Ausstellungen in der Galerie Dina Vierny in Paris; 1961 zeigte auch die Galerie Blanche in Stockholm, aus der das vorliegende Gemälde stammt, eine Einzelausstellung Doucets. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
