Lot 198 | [JACQUES Ier D’ARAGON, DIT LE CONQUÉRANT (1298-1276)]
Estimate value
€ 7 000 – 10 000
USTC 336990 ; Iberian books 184 ; CCPB000152243-4 ; Palau I, p. 133.
A very fine post-incunable edition - the first part is the medieval Catalan chronicle of Jaime I of Aragon, about his conquest of Valencia against the Moors, and the rest of the text is a compilation of edicts and privileges of the city and kingdom of Valencia. The copy is in contemporary binding, which was not the case of the other two auctioned copies we have found in various databases.
