Draft Michael Powolny, around 1907 for the Wiener Keramik.

Sand-colored shards of glass with coloured decor. On a round Base a little Boy with stylized wavy hair, in his arms a
large and lush flowers cascade retaining. Height 37.5 cm.
Flowers stöckl brand and model number 60 shaped. Condition B.

The present model is listed and shown, Fig. 21 and 22 WV 27.

Michael Powolny founded in 1906, together with Bertold Löffner the 'Viennese ceramics'manufacture. In 1913, merged with the 'Gmunden ceramics'.
"With the involvement of the Putto as a ceramic plastic Powolny selects a motif that will play both in the production of the 'Wiener Keramik' as well as in the overall work of the artist an important role in the world today with his name is associated. [...] A typical example of the Putto 'spring', as a 'Putto with flowers' is a part of a series of 'Four seasons'." (Terry (1990), P. 45)
