A SILVER- AND COPPER-INLAID BRONZE JAIN SHRINE - North-West India, ca. 16th c. - The elaborate shrine is cast with a Jain tirthankara seated in vajrasana on a cushion placed on a a throne, both hands resting on his lap in dhyanamudra, naked, his chest with the silver-inlaid srivatsa emblem, his face displaying a meditative expression with almond-shaped eyes, elongated earlobes, parasol above flanked by a pair of trumpeting elephants and surrounded by several tirthankaras, attendants and worshippers, the reverse with lengthy inscription. - Old German private collection, assembled before 2007 - Minor wear, traces of age

Der kunstvolle Schrein ist mit einem Jain-Tirthankara gegossen, der in Vajrasana auf einem Kissen sitzt, das auf einem Thron platziert ist, beide Hände ruhen in Dhyanamudra auf seinem Schoß, er ist nackt, auf seiner Brust befindet sich das in Silber eingelegte Srivatsa-Emblem, sein Gesicht zeigt einen meditativen Ausdruck mit mandelförmigen Augen, verlängerten Ohrläppchen, darüber ein Sonnenschirm, flankiert von einem Paar trompetender Elefanten und umgeben von mehreren Tirthankaras, Dienern und Verehrern, die Rückseite trägt eine lange Inschrift.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
