Homann, Großer Atlas Uber die Gantze Welt (...), Nürnberg 1737. - Oberkammlach 1664 - Nürnberg 1724 - Col. engraved title "Atlas Novus", title "Grosser Atlas" printed in red and black with an engraved map of the northern hemisphere in a polar projection, register and 27 col. copper engraved maps. Incomplete, traces due to age, partially with paper stripes backed. - Southern German Private Collection. Homann's “Grosser Atlas” was first published in 1716 by Johann Baptist Homann, founder of the famous Nuremberg map publishing house. It quickly became the standard atlas of libraries throughout Europe, especially in German-speaking countries. After Johann's death in 1724, his son Johann Christoph continued the business until his death in 1730. After that, the company was transformed into Homann Erben, a combination of family members and other geographers.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
