Das Rhinozeros "Clara"
Naturnahe Darstellung in einer Ideallandschaft. "Clara" gehört zu den berühmtesten Tieren in der Natur-, Kultur- und Kunstgeschichte und war die Sensation des 18. Jhs.; Das zahme Indische Panzernashorn wurde 1738 in Bengalen geboren und wurde 1741 bis zum Tod 1758 als Attraktion auf jahrelangen Tourneen in ganz Europa gezeigt. Das vorliegende Gemälde basiert bis auf einige Abweichungen in der Landschaft auf dem berühmten, 1749 geschaffenen Werk Oudrys, das "Clara" lebensgroß zeigt. Schon 1750 erwarb Herzog Christian II. Ludwig zu Mecklenburg(-Schwerin) das monumentale Gemälde vom Künstler. 1750/51 ließ dieser eine kleinere Kopie für seine Gemäldegalerie anfertigen, das Original kam in sein Jagdschloss nach Ludwigslust, wurde später eingerollt und deponiert, erst seit 2004 ist es nach umfassender Restaurierung wieder im Staatl. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
