Lot 5132 | Jianyao-Teeschale mit Hasenfell-Glasur, wohl Song-Dynastie (12. - 13. Jhdt.)
Estimate value
€ 500
Provenienz: Österreichische Privatsammlung.
A Jianyao tea bowl with hare's fur glaze, probably Song Dynasty (12th - 13th century)
Distinctively stepped, high foot on a narrow base, slightly recessed on the inside to form a low stand ring. From there, slightly outwardly curved, conical wall with a wide mouth. Almost vertical rim zone with slightly outwardly set rim lip. With the exception of the base, the standing ring and the lowest section of the wall, which reveal the black-brown spotted ware, glazed black inside and out. In the glaze, on the outside and inside, vertical streaks running radially to the centre, which give the surface a striking iridescence: so-called hare's fur glaze. The lip of the rim matt in contrast to the glossy wall. Slight signs of wear, otherwise no damage and intact. Height 6 cm. Diameter 11.8 cm.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
