"Die Sentimentale". Originaltitel
Die nächtliche Szene mit der Darstellung einer in Rückenansicht am Fenster sitzenden, den Vollmond melancholisch anschmachtenden jungen Frau thematisiert die romantische, bisweilen gekünstelt wirkende Rührseligkeit seiner Zeitgenossen, insbesondere auch die einiger seiner Kollegen der Düsseldorfer Malerschule in ironischer Weise. In einer sehr ähnlichen Version hatte Hasenclever das Motiv bereits 1840 in dem Gemälde "Eine Schwärmerin" gemalt. 1846/47 schuf er mehrere eigenhändige Versionen vom Gemälde "Die Sentimentale", die er u. a. 1846 in der Ausstellung der Berliner Akademie zeigte, eine hat sich im Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf erhalten (Inv.-Nr. 4299). Öl/Lwd.; L. u. sign. u. dat. 1846. 36,5 cm x 30,5 cm. Rahmen.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
