Die Entwicklung einer außergewöhnlichen Bildsprache
Der 1914 in Granada geborene José Guerrero zählt zu den bedeutendsten Vertretern des abstrakten Expressionismus. Nach seinem Studium an der Kunstschule in Granada und an der San-Fernando-Akademie in Madrid reiste er durch Europa, bevor er 1949 in die USA emigrierte. Dort kam er mit Künstlern wie Mark Rothko, Robert Motherwell und Franz Kline in Kontakt, die ihn nachhaltig beeinflussten. Inspiriert von der New Yorker Schule wandte sich Guerrero 1950 endgültig von der Figuration ab und entwickelte eine eigene Bildsprache, die sich durch leuchtende Farbflächen, dynamische Kompositionen und eine gestische Pinselführung auszeichnet. Mitte der 1960er Jahre kehrte er nach Spanien zurück, wo er seine expressiven Arbeiten weiterentwickelte und zu einer Schlüsselfigur der modernen Kunstszene wurde. Guerrero starb 1991 in Barcelona. Drei Jahre später würdigte das Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid sein Werk mit einer großen Retrospektive. Guerreros Werke sind heute in renommierten Museen wie dem Guggenheim Museum und dem MoMA in New York vertreten.

Das unverwechselbare Gespür für kraftvolle Kompositionen
Das Ölgemälde "Mesage" aus dem Jahr 1966 ist eine kraftvolle abstrakte Komposition, die durch eine expressive Pinselführung und starke Farbkontraste besticht. Schwarz dominiert die Bildfläche und wird von gedämpften Grün-, Hellblau- und Gelbtönen umgeben. Die scheinbar chaotische Anordnung der Farbflächen und Linien erzeugt eine geheimnisvolle Atmosphäre. Guerrero nutzt die Dynamik der gestischen Malerei, um ein Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Struktur und Auflösung, Ordnung und Expressivität zu schaffen. In "Mesage" zeigt sich deutlich sein Gespür für Farbe, Bewegung und emotionale Ausdruckskraft, das sein Werk international bekannt machte.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
