Century, signed, Bronze nuanced patina and gilded, detail-rich depiction of a courtship Goldfasans on oval naturalistic plinth with rocks, vegetal elements and the lizard, at the lower edge of the mould ings and getreppt, minimal gedellt and tiny traces of age, otherwise very good condition, H. approx. 44, L. approx. 73 cm. Artist info: French sculptor (1835 Senlis/Oise, France to 1894, Saint-Martin-du-Tertre/Oise, France), son of a Vergolders, studied sculpture in Paris with Paul Comoléra that inspired him with his bird sculptures, his father purchased a foundry, the sculptures of his son, were cast,. fed between 1855 and 1892 the Salon de Paris with thirty plants, known for its richness of detail even at the Base Source: Internet.
