(Geb. In 1939, Albrecht Hagen/poses. Located in easy-care home in Heidelberg),"tower of horses/"the tower of the grey horses". Original title bronze, dark brown patina, polished partially. Signature and dated 1994, numbered 1/12, foundry stamp "BALZER PFORZHEIM", the art foundry, Joachim Balzer. On a round base, composed tower in height, graduated, stylized horses, where Goertz architectural, geometric and organoids reason connects forms. Scaled-down Version of the year before, created by the well-known 11-metre-high "tower of the grey horses" made of aluminum in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Goertz studied 1963-1966 sculpture in Karlsruhe with Wilhelm Loth, 1970-1972, he held a teaching position at the Academy in Karlsruhe, in 1972-73, he was awarded the Villa-Massimo prize, Rome. Since 1973 he has exhibited widely internationally and was known in particular for his large outdoor sculptures in the public space. H. 56 cm.Dark brown patinated and partially polished bronze with a tower of horses, 1994. Signed, dated and numbered 1/12. Foundry stamp.
