Der Kaiser in Uniform mit Umhang und Orden, die linke Hand auf ein Podest gestützt mit Schriftstück betitelt "Aufhebung der Leibeigenschaft". Der Sockel vs. bezeichnet "Josef II.", rs. Pressnummer "557", im Boden gepresstes "S". Höhe 33 cm.

Kaiser Josef II., Sohn von Maria Theresia, der in den Jahren 1780 - 1790 Österreich nach den Prinzipien der Aufklärung reformierte. So reduzierte er das Hofzeremoniell, schaffte die Leibeigenschaft ab und übte religiöse Toleranz. Außerdem verbesserte er die seelsorgerische Betreuung und Krankenpflege für die unteren Bevölkerungsschichten.
