Das Oberteil aus weißer Seide, darüber hauchdünner Seidenchiffon mit gesticktem Blütendekor. Das Revers und der umlaufende Kragen aus feiner, floral geklöppelter Spitze, en suite verziert am Bund wie den Ärmelaufschlägen. Unterhalb des Kragens, am rechten Revers sowie an den Ärmeln zusätzliche Zierbänder aus weiß-rot gewebter Seide mit gebundenen Schleifen. 14 seidenüberzogene Knöpfe, unterhalb der Brust beidseitig je zwei eingenähte Verstärkungen, wohl aus Fischbein. Eingenähtes Etikett "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät No. 4593". Sehr schöne Erhaltung.
Der Rock mit Schleppe aus weißem Seidenchiffon mit gestickten runden und ovalen Zierelementen sowie reichen Blattranken und Blüten. Am Unterrand doppelte Bordüre aus spitzenbesetztem, gefälteltem Seidenchiffon, die Naht teils gelöst. Der Bund mit lachsfarbenem Seidenband, daran drei Haken. Dazu der Wickel-Unterrock aus weißem Seidenchiffon (fleckig) mit vernähtem Etikett "Privatfon I.K.K. Majestät No. 4595".
Wunderschönes und frühes Sommerkleid der Kaiserin in sehr schöner Gesamterhaltung.
Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 24. Auktion im Mai 1991, damals gemeinsam angeboten mit dem eleganten Cape im Stil einer ungarischen Husaren-Pelisse (Auktion 89, Los 4132). Seit 1991 in einer deutschen Privatsammlung.

Empress Elisabeth of Austria – an elegant summer dress, circa 1860/70
The bodice made of white silk, covered in gauzy silk chiffon embroidered with floral décor. The lapel and the continuous collar made of fine, floral bobbin lace, decorated en suite at the waistband and on the cuffs. Additional decorative ribbons in red and white woven silk with stitched loops below the collar, on the right lapel and on the sleeves. 14 silk-covered buttons, with two reinforcements sewn in on both sides below the bust, probably made of whalebone. A label reading "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät No. 4593" stitched on the inside. In immaculate condition. The skirt with a train of white silk chiffon, embroidered with circular and oval ornamental elements, lavish leafy vines and flowers. A double border of lace-trimmed, pleated silk chiffon on the hem. The seam has come apart in places. The waistband made of salmon-coloured silk with three hooks. Includes the drawstring underskirt of white silk chiffon (stained) with a label "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät No. 4595" stitched inside. An exquisite, early summer dress worn by the Empress, overall in beautiful condition.
Provenance: Hermann Historica, 24th Auction in May 1991, when it was offered as a set with the elegant cape in the style of a Hungarian hussar's pelisse (auction 89, lot 4132). Part of a private German collection since 1991.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
