Holz mit rotbraunem Leinenbezug, vernieteten Schutzbändern aus Holz bzw. Leder, die Ecken in Messing verstärkt, die Schlösser und Schließen ebenfalls aus Messing mit wenigen Vergoldungsresten. Seitlich lederne Tragegriffe, einer lose anbei (Haltelaschen gerissen). Am Deckel beidseitig vernietete Messingplaketten (stark gedunkelt) mit graviertem Monogramm "E" unter Krone. Das gesamte Interieur mit sandfarbenem Leinen ausgekleidet. Im Deckel zudem rote und schwarze Leder-Zierstreifen und im Zentrum Pariser Herstelleretikett "Au Départ. Bertin Freres - Fabricants d'Articles de Voyage". Einliegend zwei große und eine kleine Etagere, jeweils mit Leinengurten und Tragebändern. Unterseitig vier Rollen. Trotz äußerer wie innerer Feuchtigkeitsflecken in der Substanz gut erhaltene Reisetruhe. Maße ca. 99 x 58 x 65 cm.
Die 1834 gegründete und bis heute existierende Pariser Firma "Au Départ" zählt neben Louis Vitton, Goyard oder Moynat zu den bekanntesten Herstellern von Luxus-Reiseartikeln.

Wood with a reddish-brown linen cover, riveted protective tapes of wood and leather, the corners with brass reinforcements, the locks and hasps also in brass with sparse remnants of gilding. Leather handles at the sides, one enclosed separately (securing straps have ripped). Heavily darkened brass plaques riveted on both sides of the lid, engraved with the monogram "E" below a crown. The entire interior lined in sand-coloured linen. Moreover, red and black decorative leather strips in the lid, the Paris manufacturer's label in the centre "Au Départ. Bertin Freres - Fabricants d'Articles de Voyage". Two large and one small etageres on the inside, both with linen bands and carrying straps. Four rollers on the underside. Apart from spots of damp inside and out, the substance of the travel chest in good condition. Dimensions approx. 99 x 58 x 65 cm.
Founded in 1834 and still in existence today, the Paris company "Au Départ" is one of the most famous manufacturers of luxury travel goods, ranking alongside Louis Vitton, Goyard and Moynat.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
